Sunrise Lake
October 13th, 2005
Sunrise Lake was my first 4×4 outing, its a beutiful quite lake, located on the west side of Harrison Lake, and is access by road where 4 wheel drive is recommended. There is no way you’d make it up the v-rock, and drive right to the lake without it. During the summer months, the 4 wheel drive association of BC hold several Sunrise Lake maintence runs, to clean up the campsite and public washroom. The washroom –outhouse was built by the 4wdabc, as were the tables and fire-rings.
The lake is also home to some small rainbow’s [ fishing info ].

Nice shot of the lake. I was up there last weekend in a similar Jeep. The trout are Coastal Cutthroats, not rainbows. Caught some on a wooly worm trolled on a sinking tip. They were approx. 14″ and weighed about a 1/2 lb each. still fun on the fly.
