stave lake

The Stave Lake area is probably best know as the home of the infamous mud flats. It’s off of dewdney in mission, you’ll see a smdam, and a parking lot with a hutt for a gaurd (he takes license plates). The resivour is the part that becomes the mud flats, when the water is down. There are a lot of burned out wrecks down there, which is the reason that the Stave Lake area has such a bad rap. But it is also fun to go and watch the carnage on the flats on a boring sunday afternoon, but if you have a winch you’ll be in there pulling people out when they get stuck, Stave has a really thick sticky kind of mud.

The two above photo’s were taken when the resivour was up in November.

The two photos above here were taken when the resivour was down, near the end of January. They did a number on this one.

Stave has a stunning lookout near the end of the fsr, I havn’t been when its not raining, but on a cloudy day it still looks awesome.
