I was talking to a friendly Bell TV representative the other day and when he asked me if I had "any other issues", I mentioned that the guide information for the PBS HD channels had become totally useless, and the channel now had lots of SD contents mixed with the HD.

He agreed and said that it was apparently due to a change of management at PBS. He said things should improve in February 2009.

I haven't noticed the problem with other HD channels, only with the PBS ones (PBSHE and PBSHW).

Hi Gerald -

I've only experience the type of error that you describe once or twice.

Not all guide info is wrong, or missing, it just seems to be getting worse. I wonder who Bell gets the episode info from. The fix for my issue was to set the PVR to record all episodes, but with out episode numbers, etc. the PVR tends to record the same episode multiple times in one day.

Yes I have experience lack of description but not for all programming; some have a description and some don't. As for recording for example last night I recorded FRONTLINE on PBS; the show actually was for 1hr30mns but just recorded 1hour; this was the first time this happened.
For me when I want to record a show, I usually record ALL EPISODES most of the time but did not experience any skipping of the recordings due to lack of description in programming.
