ExpressVu 9200 Firmware V222 is out
September 17th, 2008
Today I noticed that my ExpressVu 9200 PVR now has software version V222. Changes besides updating to the new “Bell” logo include:
- HD logo on items in the PVR list.
- Grouping feature to group episodes of the same show together in the PVR window
- HD subtext on the HD channels in the Guide.
- Pressing the “Guide” button will now cycle through “All Sub”, “All Channels”, and “All HD”.
I’m sure that I have missed something here, so if you find something that I have missed, please leave a comment and I will update the list.
If you are noticing any bugs that have cropped up with the new firmware, try rebooting your receiever to see if it helps, as this will load the new fimware. If you are still having problems, please post a comment below and I will do my best to help.
Before, when you pressed the PVR button on the right hand side menu there used to be a HISTORY button. Has that functionality been moved elsewhere? I’ve checked in many, many places and I can’t seem to find it.
Hi Ron -
You are correct, it looks like the history button has been removed. I think the Group button took its place in the PVR menu. I’m surprised that Bell would remove a feature like that — even though I myself seldom used the history, I imagine that many people find it very handy.
Thanks for the update!
It appears this Firmware has put my 9200 into a loop mode for some reason. It will work for about an hour then it starts resetting itself over and over. I have had this system for a year with no problems till now, have tried formating the drive but I am convinced this software is the problem. I wish I could switch back to the old version. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
My 9200 has started acting erratically since the new firmware came in. It occasionally freezes, losed the audio for a couple of seconds, and on PVR playback, almost always freezes or loses sound. Any comments on this?
Does any one know why the HDMI output on my 9200 does not work? Any fixes for it?
@Vince
I have the same problem. Do you know what is the cause? thanks.
TV 2 (non HD) output from 9200 has stopped. Any ideas for repair?
