October 29th, 2007

branding_superchannel-none.gifExpressVu HD subscribers will be happy to know that we will be getting two new HD channels that we can subscribe to!

Bell ExpressVu is the first to launch the new Super Channel, and starting on November 2nd, ExpressVu HD subscribers will be the first to preview the new set of stations until November 22nd.

Super Channel HD1 will mirror the content of Super Channel 1 in High Definition.

Super Channel HD2 will feature movies, and special events in HD.

In addition to the two HD stations, Superchannel will offer 4 standard definition channels, with SuperChannel 1 being a mirror of SuperChannel HD1.

There is no word yet on pricing, if anybody knows what it will cost, please post a comment below.

More information about Super Channel can be found at the bell website, playback magazine, and official Super Channel homepage.  You can also find more information on channel 329, and of course watch the free preview from November 2nd – 22nd on channel 843 and 844.

Thanks for the heads up,,, They don’t seem to do much to promote themselves, and pricing would of been nice to find out,

This package might actually end up reducing our total costs, my current package is a little over $100 a month, maybe having this package can let me reduce our current package, I already have the HD receiver ,I could probably eliminate the movie channel package and some of the theme packs since this Super Channel thing seems to duplicate some of it,

oh and in a previous post I talked about the usb port, and finding a program to use to copy the files, but I had no luck whatsoever,

    Thanks again,

    Hi Gary -

Thanks for posting the price of Superchannel.

I’m not totally sure if its worth the $16.00/month based on what we saw when we tried to watch the two stations…

The 2 channel preview wasn’t the greatest, but I kept all the channels in my favorite list just so I could monitor what they were actually showing, so far it looks ok, but nothing yet is making me want to re arrange my current package,,

what I was hoping was I could reduce my monthly bill by substituting SuperChannel in there,,

as usual, you have a great and useful site here, keep it up,

    Gary,
