On the set at Lions Gate Studios
Recently I had the opportunity to help out with a small production that was shooting at Lion’s Gate Studio’s for the day. Lion’s Gate or North Shore Studio’s as the are now known is a pretty popular place to shoot movies and TV shows in the Vancouver area. You have very likely seen at least one movie and TV show that has been shot there.
There are 7 sound stages and three outdoor street facade’s on the lot. We were booked onto one of the street facades for the day. I was able to take some pictures between shots.
Other than it being neat place to visit, it really is just a workplace. Nothing like Universal studio’s or any tourist trap hollywood style studio. We did see a nice Charger on the set, it had a fake Michigan plate. Flat black looks really nice on a car like this.
We saw some signs on parking stalls that appear to be for various productions that are currently shooting at LGS. Some of the projects currently using the studio areThe 4400 (tv series), Shooter (Film), and Things we Lost in the Fire (Film).
